Do I need an account to start?+
No. Read PDFs, look up words, take quizzes, make flashcards and write notes as a guest. Your work stays in this browser. Google sign-in is only needed to save a copy of your progress across devices.
What happens to my PDF?+
The PDF stays on your device. Word lookups may send a short passage; generating a quiz, topic note or flashcard deck sends bounded text from the relevant pages to the AI service. When you sign in, your notes, highlights and study progress can sync; the PDF file itself is never uploaded.
Can I study without internet?+
Once loaded, PDF reading, the local dictionary, saved flashcards and notes work without internet. Generating a new quiz, detailed topic notes or atomic flashcards, contextual explanations and cloud sync need a connection. A compact quiz-based fallback remains available if detailed generation is temporarily unavailable.
How do I take my notes with me?+
Open Notes and choose Export. You’ll get a Markdown file you can keep, print or open in your favourite notes app. Sign in with Google if you’d also like your study progress on another device.
